At age 16, Zac Sunderland set off into the Pacific Ocean on a quest, not only to see the world and have the adventure of a lifetime, but to become the youngest person to sail around the world alone. Thirteen months later he returned completing his attempt and setting two world records: the youngest ever to sail around the world and the first under 18. |
Abby Sunderland has an extensive sailing background, being raised in and around sailboats. She has accumulated thousands of miles of coastal cruising through a number of hazardous weather conditions. She made headlines worldwide in 2010 when she attempted to circumnavigate the globe but had to be rescued 2,000 miles west of Australia after her sailboat was disabled by a storm in the turbulent southern Indian Ocean. |

The Sport of Standup Paddleboarding (SUP) is exploding worldwide! Everyone is
drawn to the sport for its ease of access, simple equipment, excellent core
exercise potential and endless learning curve. From paddling the flat water of
lakes and rivers to surfing the beach breaks and point breaks of the world.
Standup Paddleboarding is a sport anyone can enjoy! Learning is easy, safe and
inexpensive when you have someone to guide you and during MarinaFest 2011,
Action Watersports will be on hand to teach you the finer points of Standup
paddleboarding May 14-15. Just bring a swim suit and a smile!
